Epilog 36 EXT - Z Motor Moving Slow

It is most likely caused by table binding. See the attached jpg for additional info. While Epilog doesn't have a protocol for adjusting the table bolts, those seem to be the issue. In short, they suggest trial and error to find the sweet spot.

When it comes to adjusting the table lead bolts to relieve pressure on the table's lead nuts, it's important to note that there is no formal procedure. Despite my efforts to gather information from production, the consensus was that they simply 'played with them until it worked '.

If you start on the corner that has the table adjusted the highest up off of the bracket for the lead nuts and then go to the next highest corner down to the lowest corner, it tends to go by faster that way. Especially if you get them all started at a point where they can still wiggle up and down a bit but are tight enough that you cannot slide the bolts in and out. That seemed to be a good place to start.
But this particular adjustment has never had a good procedure per se to follow as, in the end, it comes down to just making a small adjustment testing the table movement, and repeating until you can get the table moving downwards the fastest for that corner and then go to the next corner and do the same."
